Using Edgar Allen Poe's classic text as our starting point, our interpretation extended into something quite different to the common conception of Poe's macabre world. Using projection, performance, sound and smell, we forced our audience to enter the forgotten space alone, roaming through the labyrinth of rooms, till finally encountering, from above, a man incarcerated.

The piece gave the audience, the character's journey of victimisation, by the space and the feeling of being observed by others until the role is reversed and the audience feel they are indeed the voyeurs of the man below.
